Exciting and humorous adventure flick with romance novelist Joan Wilder (wonderfully played by Kathleen Turner) traveling from New York to Colombia, South America to track down her missing sister. Along the way she runs into American adventurer Jack Colton (one of Michael Douglas' best roles) and the two are off on a sensational adventure. With kidnappers and corrupt policemen in hot pursuit. Throw in pint sized Danny Devito as Ralph, one of the kidnappers with some rousing action scenes and Stone is a winner. And Kathleen Turner at her sexy best. Wonderful dialogue is a plus. One of the great films from the 80's. Followed a year later by The Jewel of the Nile, which is a solid enough sequel.

Hahaha! Love that film - but didn't recognize the title.. The German one means: "On the prowl for the green diamond" - no romancing there.. ;")
